Hello, I'm Eric, a scientist with a PhD in pharmacology and a deep passion for mentoring the next generation of scientists. When I'm not in the lab, you'll often find me in my workshop, indulging in woodworking projects or fixing up my house. I thrive on exploring a variety of hobbies and skills and must be constantly learning or creating something.

On this site, you’ll find highlights of my research, a blog where I share insights, stories, and more. Plus, there’s a simple photo gallery to give you some context into who I am. I built this site from the ground up, diving into JavaScript and React to bring my vision to life. It’s been a rewarding journey of learning and innovation, and I’m excited to share it with you. Feel free to browse around and get a glimpse of what drives my passion.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy your stay!

This site update is the result of a complete overhaul to implement a new dynamic framework. Initially, I used Markdown integration, which worked fine, but I could only update the files when I was working from my home PC to push updates to Git and deploy on Netlify. Now, all of my page content is seamlessly integrated through a content management system (CMS) called Contentful.

I'm excited to launch this new format! While it may not look like much has changed to you, the magic is in the details you can't see. If you're interested in building a fantastic site using the power of static rendering with React components, I highly recommend checking out Andrew Mead's YouTube tutorial. His lessons are incredibly well done and have inspired me to dive deeper into JavaScript through some of his paid courses on Udemy. They offer great content, and if you catch a sale, they're quite affordable.
